What does artel mean?

Artel is a slavic word meaning a collection of artists & craftspeople, we like it because we feel like it embodies the kind of communal strength that can often be found in the creative arts

But what does it really mean?

Artel Gallery + Store is a Kiwi artist owned and operated art gallery in the heart of Waikanae, on the Kapiti Coast. Here, we showcase a colourful and diverse range of works by kiwi artists
and makers. Additionally we stock and range of Jewellery and Pounamu from local jewelers
and carvers, as well as a range of NZ made kiwi as gifts.
